WOW! What a big win by Wisconsin over Ohio State at the Kohl Center 71-67. Things were looking very bleak in the second half when Ohio State pulled out to a 15 point lead. From that point on Jordan Taylor, and the rest of the Badgers, went crazy from three point range. The crowd got into it, the players found themselves in a zone, and in college basketball that is enough to get the win. The second half run felt very similar to the run Duke had on Thursday night to beat North Carolina. A few things start going right for the home team, then a couple threes, a couple turnovers by the road team and all of a sudden a double digit lead evaporates into a five point lead to the home team with too little time for the road team to turn the momentum around.
It Was Over When
The Badgers were up two with under a minute to play. In usual Badger fashion they took the shot clock down to the last second where Jordan Taylor found a wide open Mike Bruesewitz who hit a three pointer with 30 seconds left. On the ensuing possession freshman point guard Aaron Craft had an unforced turnover which resulted in a free throw contest. Ohio State made a very late push with a purposely missed free throw that Jared Sullinger converted into a three pointer. But the Badgers would hold on for the win.
Player Of The Game: Jordan Taylor, 27 points(21 in second half), 7 assists, 1 turnover. Taylor made a very strong case for being a first team all american with this huge game in the national spotlight.
