If last year taught us anything it’s that early Heisman watch lists are complete dog crap. Tell me, did anyone have Robert Griffin III on any Heisman list going into the season? How about Montee Ball? Russell Wilson? Didn’t think so.

Now that I’ve expressed my disdain for early Heisman watch lists, here’s an early Heisman watch list via Heisman Pundit. The Big Ten is represented on this irrelevant run down of names of good players by Montee Ball and Denard Robinson. I’m sure most people would put those guys high on any list of potential Heisman candidates. I’m also sure that once the real Heisman hype gets rolling there will be some guys on the list that no one is thinking of right now.

Maybe Danny O’Brien? Just throwing that out there.
