Keelon Brookins Decommits From Minnesota, Switches to Badgers

by Football

Yup, another Minnesota product is crossing the border into Badgerland. Tartan (Mn.) High School cornerback Keelon Brookins, a 3-star prospect, has rescinded his soft commitment to the Gophers and will instead attend the University of Wisconsin starting in 2013.

As Michael Rand of the Star Tribune points out, Brookins is “a long way from putting pen to paper” and could still change his mind again. Exactly the sort of in-denial attitude you’d expect from a Minnesota sports reporter watching yet another promising football or basketball prospect flee the state for the greener pastures of Madison. Face it Gopher people – no one worth a darn wants to play for you.
