Wisconsin Badgers (4-2 overall, 1-1 Big 10) at Purdue Boilermakers (3-2 overall, 0-1 Big Ten)
Where: Ross-Ade Stadium, West Lafayette, Indiana
When: Saturday October 13th, 11 AM CT
Wisconsin tries to get on a streak after earning their first conference win of the year at home against Illinois. The Badgers’ struggling offense came awake in the second half vs. Illinois thanks to running back Montee Ball, quarterback Joel Stave and wide receiver Jared Abbrederis. The Wisconsin defense has been solid all year thanks largely to linebackers Mike Taylor and Chris Borland. A banged-up Badger defense is getting healthy again with the returns of Shelton Johnson and Peniel Jean.
Purdue is 0-1 in the Big Ten after a thumping at the hands of Michigan. Caleb TerBush starts at QB for the Boilermakers but look for second stringer Robert Marve to also get some snaps. Purdue’s defense was rocked by Denard Robinson and the Wolverines last week, but hopes to have an easier time of it against the pocket-bound Joel Stave.
All-Time Series: Wisconsin leads 40-29-8. The Badgers have beaten Purdue six straight times. They last lost at Ross-Ade Stadium in 1997. Bret Bielema has never lost to Purdue and is 2-0 in West Lafayette.
Point Spread: Purdue -2
