The Wisconsin Badgers opened the 2013-14 basketball season in the right direction Friday night, defeating the St. John’s Red Storm 86-75 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Badgers led the entire game, leading by as much as 18 but allowing the Red Storm to come back in the second half and cutting the deficit to four at one point. But Bo Ryan and company were able to hang on to seal a win against a tough Red Storm team.
