End of an Era; Badger Seniors Honored Saturday

In all the Badger Football I’ve seen, I have never seen a more successful senior class than this group of guys.

There are 26 seniors on this years team and many of those players have paid large contributions to Bucky’s success during the past few seasons.

Take the time to look at this roster and sort through all the names and starting seniors. Abbrederis, Borland, Allen and Pederson (just to name a few) have all seen great success wearing the cardinal and white. Now, it’s been a lot of fun watching these seniors grow into leaders and role models in Madison, but it’s going to be very bittersweet to see them leave.

Filling those starting spots that the seniors leave open should be easy for Gary Anderson and his Badger squad. While currently having 26 seniors, the Badgers also have a TON of depth from the juniors down to the freshman players. Some key, young leaders include quarterback Joel Stave, offensive lineman Kyle Costigan, wide receiver Jordan Fredrick and also the hopeful return of red-shirt sophomore Melvin Gordon.

The only mission left for the seniors is to win a BCS Bowl Bid which starts on Senior Day against Penn State. If the Badgers defeat Penn State, the Badgers will almost certainly get placed in a BCS Bowl, which would give these seniors one last game to prove their dominance. Game time is set for 2:30 CT time in Madison, WI

A big THANK YOU goes out to the senior class of 2014 and all the hard work we witnessed every Saturday! Thank you guys for all the great Big Ten memories! On Wisconsin!
