National Signing Day 2014: WR George Rushing Signs With Wisconsin Badgers

The Wisconsin Badgers received some much-needed wide receiver help in the form on George Rushing, a three-star recruit from Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Rushing chose the Badgers over the likes of TCU and the Louisville Cardinals.

Most of the doubt surrounding who Rushing would end up choosing went away just a few short days ago when he verbally committed to Wisconsin on Wednesday. Rushing will help fill the void of graduating Jared Abbrederis, who was by far and away the Badgers best receiver last season and the one who saw the most targets out of anyone on the team.

Rushing was originally committed to Louisville way back in May 2013, but decommitted shortly after Charlie Strong left for greener pastures in Austin, Texas.

With Rushing signing his letter of intent to Wisconsin, that bolsters head coach Gary Andersen’s first class in Madison and helps give the program its best recruiting class ever.
