Gary Andersen said, earlier in the year, that Georgia and Florida were a big part of Wisconsin’s recruiting plan.
Well on National Signing Day it’s obvious that plan is coming to fruition. Georgia, a state that the Badgers did not once recruit successfully for the entirety of Bret Bielema’s tenure at Wisconsin, is beginning to look like a potential pipeline for the Andersen-led Badgers. Florida on the other hand, has always been an immensely important state for the Badgers and that trend is not ending anytime soon.
Between Georgia and Florida the Badgers have eight players who have officially inked their intent to play for Wisconsin. The players who have signed their national letters of intent include:
D’Cota Dixon: Three-Star DB from New Smyrna Beach, FL.
George Rushing: Three-Star WR from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Derrick Tindal: Three-Star CB from Lauderdale Lakes, FL.
Natrell Jamerson: Three-Star WR from Ocala, FL.
D.J. Gillins: Four-Star QB from Jacksonville, FL.
Austin Hudson: Three-Star S from Tampa, FL.
Jeremy Patterson: Three-Star DT from Jesup, GA.
Krenwick Sanders: Three-Star WR from Jesup, GA.
