It was announced Sunday that the Wisconsin Badgers will be the number two seed in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, and will play American in the second round of the West region. That game will be played in Milwaukee, WI.

There was much debate throughout the season on if the Badgers would land on the one line, but after an exit in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament it’s the two seed that Wisconsin lands at.

Wisconsin’s opponent, the American University Eagles, won the Patriot League tournament to earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles come in with a 20-12 and winners of their last three games.

The Badgers enter the tournament winning 9 of their last 11 games and a record of 26-7. Arizona Wildcats are the number one seed in the West region.

American and Wisconsin will face off in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 20th, with the game being held at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI. A home court advantage for the Badgers nonetheless, as Wisconsin looks to make it through Milwaukee and onto the Sweet Sixteen.
