The Badgers are only a few hours from the tip-off of the biggest game in the Bo Ryan Era.
Wisconsin is in North Texas facing the Kentucky Wildcats in the Final Four. A spot in the National Championship game is on the line.
40 minutes separate the Badgers from a shot at the second National Championship in school history. The Wildcats are the favorite, despite being an 8-seed. If the 2-seeded Badgers win, it will be considered an upset by most. Bizarre.
Lets hope the Badgers can overcome Kentucky’s length and premier perimeter defense as well as their dominant offensive attack; featuring their big men down low. If the Badgers can hit threes and pull down defensive rebounds, they might just dance their way into the biggest game of them all — at the biggest stadium of them all.
Regardless, tonight is going to be a hell of a fun time. Where are you watching the game?
Whether you are in North Texas for the festivities, at a bar in Madison (or elsewhere) or enjoying the game from home — tonight is about celebrating. Of course, we at Badger of Honor, want all Badger fans to celebrate the big game safely tonight. (Call a cab if you need one, ya dingus!)
If you aren’t getting a free beer from ex-Badger Michael Finley, you should try the unofficial shot of the Wisconsin Badgers; the “Badger Bomb.”
Lets face it, many fans from Wisconsin like to enjoy alcohol from time to time. And as long as it’s done responsibly — why not?
The “Badger Bomb” is easily assembled. Simply combine 1.5 oz American “Wisky,” 3 oz Code Red Mountain Dew and two cinnamon candies. Let the candy sit in the drink for a couple minutes before “shooting.”*
*Disclaimer, don’t choke on the candy. Crush with the bottom of your glass first if you’d prefer.
Thank me later…if you remember that is.
The “Badger Bomb” is a delicious way to celebrate the occasion of the Badgers being in the Final Four. Because lets face it, Final Fours for the Badgers are rare — this is their third all-time. I mean, of course we all hope this will happen more frequently, but there is no guarantee of that.
So lets celebrate tonight and hope for the best.
On Freakin’ Wisconsin!
