Football Dance-Off Becoming a Wisconsin Badgers Tradition

Tradition.

It’s what Wisconsin athletics have been built on.

And something every athletic personnel member must also believe it.

Expectations.

Something that also comes along with the territory in Wisconsin.

The expectations are soaring for the 2014-15 Wisconsin Badgers football team.

With spring practices underway, and UW looking to be possibly ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll when released later this summer, tensions have been high for coach Gary Andersen’s team.

The competitions at quarterback, defensive line, wide receiver and defensive backfield have stolen a lot of the pre-season attention, but the 2014 spring practice for the Wisconsin Badgers just wouldn’t be complete without the teams annual dance-off competition.

No rhyme or reason, besides it’s been a way for head coach Gary Andersen to keep things light with his team, and carry on the persona of a coach players want to come play for.

While it’s not likely any of the athletes are in the search of a “Dancing With The Stars” audition, it’s a two-year old tradition now that coach Andersen’s team has become known and loved for.

We hope traditions like these, continue to showcase the University, Andersen himself and a program and state of mind we like to live by here in the Badgers state.
