Milwaukee Brewers Honor Wisconsin Badgers Before Game with New York Yankees

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Two worlds collided at Miller Park as the Wisconsin Badgers Final Four team was honored by the Milwaukee Brewers before Friday night’s tilt with the New York Yankees.

As you can imagine, the Wisconsin players felt like kids in a candy store being on the field interacting with players. Not to mention Bo Ryan and his players threw out the first pitch before the game. It certainly was a sight to see.

Zach Bohannon continued his journey of capturing as many selfies with famous people as he can. And why not? How often are you able to share the same field with the Yankees?

Also according to Mr. Bohannon, the quote of the night came from Zak Showalter.

I can only imagine how this conversation went between Bo and Joe Torre. I’m sure some great stories were told between these two.

The voice of the Badgers Matt Lepay, who has been filling in on Fox Sports Wisconsin for Brian Anderson, was able to share some moments during the game with coach Ryan. In my opinion, I think Lepay has been doing a great job while Anderson is doing commentary for the NBA Playoffs.

All in all, it looked like a great experience for the Badgers, Brewers, Yankees and the fans of Miller Park. A very good basketball team that made a great Final Four run was able to be honored in front of thousands of Wisconsin sports fans and deservedly so.

As for the baseball game the Brewers fell to the Yankees 5-3, dropping seven of their last nine games. Hopefully this Badger team was able to rub off some of their winning ways on the Brewers to get this thing turned back around.
