Coming back for his senior season probably was the best, and most lucrative, decision Wisconsin Badgers center Frank Kaminsky could have made. A pick by a lottery team could be in the cards for Kaminsky in the 2015 NBA Draft.
For starters, this Wisconsin team is as poised as ever to make another run at a Final Four appearance. A big reason why they were so successful last year and will be this upcoming season is because of Kaminsky. You just had that feeling once Frank dropped a school-record 43 points on North Dakota that it was going to be a special season. I don’t think any of us knew just how special.
Kaminsky averaged 13.9 points per game and grabbed 6.3 rebounds while leading Wisconsin on a magical ride. Frank the Tank averaged 16.4 points per game in the NCAA Tournament and was named the West Region’s Most Outstanding Player.
Honestly being so close to the NCAA championship game and having every single starter but one coming back, the Badgers are already a favorite to make it back to the Final Four.
And yeah Kaminsky may think the NBA “looks flat out boring,” but that same NBA is going to make him a few extra dollars. Returning for his senior season will pay dividends for not only him, but this Badgers team as well. Anything can happen in college basketball, but have virtually every player return the next season makes you a dangerous team. And Kaminsky is a dangerous player that will look to have one more season of fun before heading to the boring ol’ National Basketball Association.
