Wisconsin vs LSU: Game Time, TV Channel, Radio, Odds and More

We’ve waited over seven months for this moment and it’s finally here. The college football season kicks off this weekend and one of the marquee match ups pits the #14 Wisconsin Badgers going up against the #13 LSU Tigers in a Big Ten-SEC showdown in Houston, TX. It is all part of the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff at NRG Stadium which is sold out.

Wisconsin finished the season 9-4 last season in head coach Gary Andersen’s first season in Madison. After reeling off an impressive six-straight wins towards the end of the season, the Badgers were upset at home by Penn State 31-24 in the regular season finale and closed out the season losing to South Carolina 34-24 in the Capital One Bowl.

LSU finished last year with a 10-3 record, losing to Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama. The Tigers finished third in the SEC West behind Auburn and Alabama. They wound up finishing strong, winning their final three games including a 21-14 victory over Iowa in the Outback Bowl.

Both teams are looking for a victory to jump-start their case as one of the four teams to land in the first ever College Football Playoff. Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon is also looking for his Heisman Trophy moment and to solidify himself as the best running back in the country.
