Senior Day is a special day for athletes in any sport at any level. Whether it is the final home game of a high school or college athletic career, seniors are recognized on the field, court, rink or track for their accomplishments and dedication to the program.

Senior Day can be an emotional moment, as it is the final game these athletes will ever play in front of the home crowd. Some players move on to a higher level of competition, but the majority will never participate in anything nearly as competitive in their respective sport.

The Wisconsin Badgers have 19 total seniors on this year’s roster that will be honored for their commitment on the football field prior to Saturday’s game against the Northwestern Wildcats at 2:30 p.m.

  • These 19 athletes will step onto the field at Camp Randall Stadium for one last game. They will hear the crowd sing verses of “Build Me Up Buttercup,” enjoy House of Pain’s “Jump Around,” and perhaps hear a few non-family-friendly chants from Wisconsin’s student section one final time.

The Badgers’ seniors have been enrolled anywhere from 3-5 years at Madison, and each one of them has made an impact on this Badgers football program.

Fourteen seniors have been on the roster since the 2011 season. Since then, Wisconsin has won two Big Ten titles and made a pair of Rose Bowl appearances. The Badgers’ record since 2011 is 47-18 overall and 30-11 against conference teams. Wisconsin went through three head coaching changes in that span, but the Badgers remained consistent in winning games played at Camp Randall. Since 2011, Wisconsin is 30-4 at its home stadium.

A few seniors on the roster have made a huge impact on Wisconsin for years but did not make this list. In no particular order, here are the five most impactful seniors that will play their final game in Madison on Saturday.
