From our staff to you and yours, we wish you great joy over the holiday season!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all our viewers and readers who love following the Wisconsin Badgers as much as we do. As you open up that last present or watch a certain Christmas movie for the umpteenth time, check into social media with us as we bring you holiday thoughts and wishes from all of our favorite Badgers players and teams.

The Wisconsin football team will have a final day of relaxation and break from the sport before Monday hits and it officially becomes one week until their Cotton Bowl matchup versus Western Michigan.

It is also senior defensive back Sojourn Shelton’s 22nd birthday.

The men’s basketball team will also have a short rest before returning to the Kohl Center on Tuesday to open up Big Ten play against an upstart 11-2 Rutgers Scarlet Knights squad before hitting the road against two ranked teams in Indiana and Purdue.

Seniors Nigel Hayes and walk-on Matt Ferris had some fun this Christmas on social media, posting  less-than-appealing photos on the days leading up. You can check them out on Hayes’ and Ferris’ Twitter pages.

Happy Holidays from the Badgers’ volleyball and rowing teams.
