Wisconsin Badgers graduate transfer Jordan Hill has committed to Seattle University.

Former Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball guard Jordan Hill has made his decision on where he will play basketball next season.

About a week and a half after Hill announced he would be graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and transferring, Hill has committed to play basketball for the Seattle Redhawks out of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

Hill never really got his career off and running at Wisconsin, barely seeing minutes under Bo Ryan and then experiencing his play decline under Greg Gard to the likes of D’Mitrik Trice last season. It was speculated that Hill’s lack of playing time could be the reason for his departure and with him being a native of Pasadena, California- it was expected he would play his final year of eligibility somewhere on the west coast.

The Redhawks finished 13-17 last year and will benefit mightily with Hill and his veteran leadership next season.

“Jordan brings leadership to our team and backcourt,” said Seattle coach Jim Hayford. “He is immediately eligible and ready to make an impact. He has played at a very high level in big NCAA Tournament games. He will be well loved and a great addition to the Seattle U community.”

Hill’s Final Four and NCAA Tournament experience will come in handy next year as the team looks to make their first NCAA Tournament since 1969.

Hill will join Weber State graduate transfer Richaud Gittens as well as SMU transfer Dashawn McDowell on a roster that will be filled with experience.

During his career at Wisconsin, Hill’s numbers were nothing that caught your eyes as he averaged just under two points per game in three full seasons. He often times provided a key defensive spark off the bench and was good for the occasional big three pointer off the bench.

Best of luck to Jordan!
