Four-star running back Tavion Thomas has listed Wisconsin in his final seven schools.

Running Back U still continues to make its name known as three-star running back and No. 18 overall, Tavion Thomas, included Wisconsin in his latest cut-down of teams.

Reducing his list to seven teams, Thomas included the Badgers as one of his final choices on where he wishes to play football in the 2018 season.

The Badgers were one of the first teams to offer to Thomas back in January and as recruiting became more prevalent, more teams and programs began to keep an eye on Thomas. The 6-foot-2 All-American was thought to be a sure lock to Ohio State having been from the state of Ohio- Dayton to be exact.

Before his announcement of his final seven, Thomas was given an 82 percent chance to choose the Buckeyes, having been in such close proximity to Columbus and the fact that Ohio State is very successful at earning the in-state talent. The second-highest prediction for Thomas was West Virginia, who in fact did make his top seven list.

Fortunately for the Badgers, other than the fact that they are in play for Thomas at this point, is that no other Big Ten team made the list. If Wisconsin does lose out to one of the other six teams listed, they will not have to see him unless it is in a bowl game or a surprising non-conference addition to future schedules.

247Sports lists Thomas as a three-star prospect, while Scout has him as a four-star.

A hat-tip to Bucky’s Fifth Quarter for finding his overall rankings in all major recruiting outlets:

He’s rated the following currently at running back (Bucky’s Fifth Quarter):

Of course this top seven list means nothing until he confirms his final choice. Keep an eye on teams like Ohio State who might try and get back in there.

There is no timetable on his final decision.
