Iowa: Josey Jewell, LB

LB isn’t necessarily a prime need for Wisconsin.  The Badgers have at least achieved “reload not rebuild” status with the position.  But Jewell is the well, jewel of the Big Ten LB corps.  He finished 2nd in the Big Ten in total tackles in 2016 with 124 total stops (just two behind league leader Tegray Scales from Indiana).  He was a defensive captain for the Hawkeyes and finalist for the Butkus Award given to the nation’s top LB.  Wisconsin LBs have battled injuries and Jewell has been a rock in the center of the Iowa defense having started 30 consecutive games.
