Wisconsin Football: 10 Things to know about the Maryland Terrapins
Q: The Terps had the 4th best rushing offense in the Big Ten in 2016. Will they be as strong on the ground this year?
A: Maryland could be even stronger as crazy as that may sound. Only Ohio State averaged more yards-per-carry than Maryland and that’s because the Terps had a duo of talented backs in Ty Johnson and Lorenzo Harrison.
Johnson averaged 9.1 yards-per-carry which led the entire nation. Johnson is one of the most dynamic running backs in the conference and should pick up right where he left off. In addition, the Terps will have a full season of Harrison and true freshman Anthony McFarland should contribute quite a bit as well.
It’s not too farfetched to think that Maryland leads the Big Ten in rushing this fall with all of the talent in place.
