BYU has been bowl eligible every season since 2005 (12 straight).  Any concern this streak will end in 2017 given the 1-2 start?

Lawless Republic: No especially, considering how weak the back end of BYU’s schedule is.  BYU will be favored against Utah State, has played Boise State great in Provo, then wraps up the regular season with games against East Carolina, San Jose State, Fresno State, UNLV, Umass, and Hawaii.  While going to Hawaii, especially late in the season, is concerning, there’s no reason to think the Cougars won’t win seven of those eight games.   SO even if the Cougars fall to Wisconsin and Mississippi State (which is very likely), they shouldn’t have any trouble getting into a bowl game and continuing the streak.

Badger of Honor Reaction: Truthfully, it is pretty hard to miss a bowl game given the sheer volume of them these days.  Your season really has to go off the rails.  I highly doubt the  Cougars are at much risk of missing postseason rewards.  The Holy War showed them second best in the Beehive State.  But that doesn’t fatally wound their bowl chances.  Keep in mind its first loss was to a highly regarded LSU Tiger team.
