Wisconsin football has a lot of talent returning in 2018. But who are the most underrated players in that bunch?

Wisconsin football has seldom been the kind of program to plug in new players and expect a massive impact. Freshmen like Jonathan Taylor are the exception. Even Alex Honribrook took some time to get comfortable before he finished last season strong. The Badgers typically develop talent as underclassmen and can lean on juniors and seniors for major contributions. Those players will be a large part of success in 2018.

Figuring out who the most underrated returning Badgers are is a multi-step process. First, the players need to have shown signs that they can contribute. If somebody has hardly played a snap for Wisconsin it’s hard to justify them making an impact. Second, you look for potential. Occasional big plays or an opportunity to start full time in 2018 are huge. It’ll be difficult for somebody to have a good season if they’re buried on the depth chart.

Lastly, the players on this list won’t be guys that have all the buzz going into the season. Jonathan Taylor is one of the best players on the roster, but he already has high expectations. Instead, I’ll try to shine some light on guys that aren’t getting a ton of love.

Here’s the best, under-the-radar returning players for the Wisconsin Badgers in 2018.
