8. Wisconsin Hockey Begins New Era in B1G Conference

After spending 44 years in the WCHA, the Wisconsin Badgers jumped ship this season and joined the newly formed B1G Conference for hockey. Joining Wisconsin is Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Minnesota and Ohio State. Although they dropped their inaugural game to the Gophers 4-1, they bounced back and won their conference home opener 7-1 over Penn State.
