Lost in the shuffle of Big Ten media days on Monday was the fact that the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team got blinged out. And when I say blinged out, I mean BLINGED OUT! The Badgers received their Final Four rings, somewhat of a consolation prize. But it’s an amazing looking prize if I may say so myself.
If you happened to live under a rock (about the size of these rings!) for the past six months, the Badgers stormed through the regular season and made a very impressive run to the Final Four in April. The Badgers entered the tournament as the #2 seed in the West Region. Along the way they took down #15 American, #7 Oregon, #6 Baylor, #1 Arizona before losing a heartbreaker to Kentucky in the Final Four. As always, pictures of the ring and players wearing their rings were littered throughout Instagram and Twitter.

Head coach Bo Ryan looks good with the Final Four ring. I think there might be room for more…

Who knew winning the West Region of the NCAA Tournament would land you a ring that rivals some Super Bowl rings? And who knows, maybe this time next year we are talking about another ring. Something maybe a little bigger, perhaps?
