Reason 2: Strength of Schedule
I don’t want to alarm anyone, but Penn State is the best volleyball team in the country. You say Stanford is the current No. 1? And Texas is No. 2? Well Penn State is in third and still the defending National Champions.

The stage is set for another big matchup, or rematchup if you will, of last year’s National Championship game on Sept. 24. Penn State has a loss on the season, but now so does Wisconsin, and whomever comes out of that match will be poised to win the B1G.
The teams will not meet again in the regular season. The match is in Madison. The Badgers also handed No. 8 Colorado State its only loss and will play No. 11 Purdue in late October and in the final match of the season, Nov. 28 in Madison.
Oh, and Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan State are all ranked between 16-25. This is the schedule you set up in NCAA Football when you think you’re team is ready for the big time after two years of playing FCS and MAC schools.
