5. NOVEMBER 7th at MARYLAND TERRAPINS

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Just like Wisconsin traveling out east to take on Rutgers last season, they will once again head that direction but this time will make it all the way to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. In 2014 Wisconsin faced Maryland for the first time ever in school history. This season they will travel to College Park, MD for the first time in the program’s history. The trip to Maryland will also be Wisconsin’s 10th game in a row before getting their one and only bye week of the season in November. That’s a long and grueling stretch for any team to endure.

Maryland on the other hand faces Wisconsin in a brutal four-game stretch for them. After their bye week in October, the Terrapins schedule is as follows: Penn State, at Iowa, Wisconsin, at Michigan State. That’s a crucial part of the schedule for Maryland to at least make a bowl game, if not at the very least stay competitive in the Big Ten East.

Although I believe that Wisconsin should be able to take care of Maryland, it is important to remember that this is the end of a very long stretch of games for the Badgers and smack dab in the middle of a brutal stretch for Maryland. This could turn into a dogfight as both teams will be fighting for their own agendas, whether it be a bowl berth or for a spot atop their respective divisions.
