Robert Wheelwright‘s season statistics don’t exactly jump off of the page.
One catch for 17 yards.
That one catch just happened to be one of Wisconsin’s biggest plays of the season, as it also resulted in the game-sealing touchdown against Minnesota.
Leading the Golden Gophers 27-24 with 7:34 remaining in the game, the Badgers assembled a 6-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to take a 10-point lead.
Wheelwright’s lone catch of the season was the dagger.
It was a game-sealing, Paul Bunyan’s Axe-sealing, Big Ten West Crown-sealing, and Big Ten Championship Game berth-sealing catch.
