2015 NFL Schedule: Week One Match Ups for Wisconsin Badgers Alumni

The 2015 NFL schedule was released Tuesday night. Currently, 31 Badgers are on an NFL roster. Here’s a look at each former Badgers’ week one NFL match up.
NFC
NFC North:
Jared Abbrederis — Green Bay Packers, #84, wide receiver
Scott Tolzien — Green Bay Packers, #16, quarterback
• Abbrederis, Tolzien and the rest of the Green Bay Packers open the season on the road against division rival Chicago.
DeAndre Levy — Detroit Lions, #54, outside linebacker
• Levy and the Detroit Lions head to the west coast to take on the San Diego Chargers in week one.
Ryan Groy — Chicago Bears, #79, offensive guard
• Groy will face fellow Badgers alums Abbrederis and Tolzien when the Bears host the Packers week one.
Wisconsin Badgers
NFC East:
Beau Allen — Philadelphia Eagles, #94, defensive tackle
Chris Maragos — Philadelphia Eagles, #42, defensive back
• Eagles defensive players Allen and Maragos open the season on Monday night football, taking on a Badgers-heavy squad in Atlanta.
Travis Frederick — Dallas Cowboys, #72, center
Nick Hayden — Dallas Cowboys, #96, defensive tackle
• Frederick, Hayden and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys will host the first Sunday Night Football contest of the yea against the New York Giants.
NFC South:
Gabe Carimi — Atlanta Falcons, #68, offensive tackle
Peter Konz — Atlanta Falcons, #66, center
Dez Southward — Atlanta Falcons, #41, free safety
• A trio of Badgers in Atlanta will host the first half of a Monday Night Football doubleheader when Beau Allen, Chris Maragos and the Eagles head to town.
Nick Toon — New Orleans Saints, #88, wide receiver
• Toon and the Saints open the season on the road at Arizona.
Brad Nortman — Carolina Panther, #8, punter
• Nortman and the Panthers head to Jacksonville to open the season.

• Kendricks and the Rams host division rival Seattle to open the season.
Matt Shaughnessy — Arizona Cardinals, #91, outside linebacker
• Shaughnessy and the Arizona Cardinals host the Saints to open the 2015 season.
AFC
AFC North
Joe Thomas — Cleveland Browns, #73, offensive tackle
• Thomas will lock down the blind side to open the season on the road against the New York Jets.
Owen Daniels — Baltimore Ravens, #81, tight end
Rick Wagner — Baltimore Ravens, #71, offensive tackle
• Daniels and Wagner head west to open the season at Denver.
Ethan Hemer — Pittsburgh Steelers, #79, defensive tackle
• Hemer will be a part of opening night festivities when the Patriots host the Steelers in the first action of the season.
Kevin Zeitler — Cincinnati Bengals, #68, offensive guard
• Zeitler and the Bengals head to Oakland to open the 2015 season.
