No. 2, Alex Erickson

Last season things appeared bleak at the wide receiver position. No one expected former walk-on Alex Erickson to do much after a nine-catch, 127-yard performance as a sophomore in 2013.

But Erickson exploded onto the scene as a junior in 2014, leading the Badgers with 55 receptions for 772 yards. He added three touchdowns, and was Wisconsin’s most consistent playmaker in the receiving game.

When the Badgers needed to go deep downfield, Erickson was their guy. He and Stave, like Arneson, were getting in sync as the season drew to a close.

If Erickson can continue to be the weapon he was in 2014, we should prepare for plenty of big plays out of the senior in 2015.
