The Wisconsin Badgers earned a 28-3 victory over the Troy Trojans on Saturday, and took advantage of some big plays on both sides of the ball to come away with the victory. Here we’ll take a look at several of the top plays from the game.

Several plays jumped out as “top play” material. The defense was full of highlights as the Badgers completely shut down the Trojans offensive attack, holding the running game under 100 yards and the passing game under 200 yards.

The Badgers offense, meanwhile, while methodic for much of the game, came up with several big plays. Alex Erickson hauled in a long pass over the middle and broke a few tackles along the way to a nice gain that set up a second-quarter touchdown, another nice play on a four-yard run from Joel Stave that ended with a dive into the end zone.
While those plays definitely warranted consideration, we’ll turn instead to one of the Badgers better runs of the day as our “honorable mention” pick before we get to the top three plays from the Badgers win.
Honorable Mention: Dare Ogunbowale goes 23 yards to pay dirt
Starting in place of the injured Corey Clement, Dare Ogunbowale had a nice outing for the Badgers, taking 14 carries for 75 yards and a score, a 17-yard run that is our honorable mention play for Saturday’s game.
Ogunbowale showed off some moves as he juked a defender just after hitting the hole, then tore around the corner and into the end zone quickly to give the Badgers a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. The Badgers never looked back on the way to the victory.
Following Ogunbowale’s touchdown run, our first “top play” of the game goes to a Badgers tight end who had a nice drive for Wisconsin.
