  • The No. 7 Badgers welcomed the No. 8 Nebraska Cornhuskers to Madison in October of 2011 to kick off the Big Ten slate. It was Nebraska’s inaugural Big Ten game, and the Huskers seemed to bring the entire state into Madison for the night game.

It was close in the first half as the Badgers trailed 7-0 and later 14-7. Wisconsin exploded for 20 points in the second quarter, going into the half up 27-14. Add in a 14-0 third quarter, and the Badgers rolled through Nebraska on the way to a 48-17 blowout.

Russell Wilson was 14 of 20 for 255 yards and a pair of scores, adding six carries for 32 yards and a touchdown. Jared Abbrederis caught five passes for 95 yards and a touchdown, while Nick Toon caught four for 94 yards and a score.

Montee Ball scored four touchdowns on 30 carries for 151 yards, and the Badgers grabbed three interceptions on the way to the win.
