Sam Dekker spent 2013-2015 at Wisconsin, helping the Badgers to back-to-back Final Fours and a National Championship berth. He left UW after a stellar collegiate career, declaring early for the 2015 NBA draft.

The move paid off, as Dekker was the 18th overall selection in the 2015 draft by the Houston Rockets.

Dekker played in eight preseason games for the Rockets this year, averaging 18.5 minutes per game. He scored 5.0 points per game, adding 2.6 rebounds per contest. His shooting percentage was low, however, but as a top-20 draft pick, he’ll get his chances once the season begins.

For Dekker and the Rockets, that season begins Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.
