Can Zak Showalter be more than just a defender/energy guy?
Last year, Showy brought a lot to the table, including the best missed dunks you’ll ever see. He was basically the team energizer bunny that could come in and change the momentum with a few huge hustle plays. That was on full display versus UNC in the Sweet 16, when a steal and 6-points swung the momentum in the game, and led the Badgers to victory.
But now, the Badgers need him to be more than that. They need those types of plays consistently, without all the turnovers and erratic plays mixed in. They also need him to be a steady 3-point shooter and a solid secondary ball handler.
