Ethan Happ: 6-9, 235-pound redshirt freshman from Milan, Illinois
Wisconsin Badgers
Happ is the big mystery this season for the Badgers. By all accounts, he was tenacious in practice all year long last season during a redshirt year, and hopefully going up against guys like Frank Kaminsky, Sam Dekker and Nigel Hayes on the practice court have hoed both his offensive and defensive skills.
We got a little taste of what Happ brings to the table during the exhibition game against UW-River Falls, when the redshirt freshman recorded a double-double, doing most of his offensive work in the paint.
If Happ can provide a strong inside force, it allows the Badgers offense to do so much more with a shoot-first point guard in Bronson Koenig and a versatile wing like Hayes.
Expectations are high for Happ, a player who has barely seen the court in his career.
He will be an important piece to the puzzle that is the Wisconsin frontcourt in 2015-16.
