Not to beat up in the Cornhuskers too much, but we’ll stick with the matchup as the 2014 meeting resulted in possibly the best single-game performance by a Badgers in school history.

More from All-Time Lists

The Badgers hosted the higher-ranked Cornhuskers with just a few games remaining in the season, needing to win out to win their division. Melvin Gordon made sure the Huskers wouldn’t stop them as he took 25 carries for 408 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Badgers to a 59-24 victory.

Much like their meeting in 2011, the Huskers got on the board early and held a lead. In 2014, Nebraska led 17-3 before Flash Gordon struck, taking a carry around the end and hurdling a defender on the way to a 62-yard score.

Corey Clement added a 17 yard run and Joel Stave found Sam Arneson for a three-yard score in the second quarter as Wisconsin went into the half leading 24-17.

The third quarter was all Melvin Gordon.

He had touchdown runs of one-yard, six-yards and 26-yards, the third coming at the end of the third quarter, putting Gordon at 408 yards on the day, breaking a record held by LaDanian Tomlinson.

Tanner McEvoy ran in a touchdown in the third as well, and the teams traded scores in the fourth quarter as Wisconsin blew out the Huskers 59-24.
