Rose Bowl: Wisconsin 0, USC 7

The Wisconsin Badgers successful 1952 campaign led to the team’s first-ever bowl game appearance, the 1953 Rose Bowl.

And while the Badgers came away on the wrong side of a 7-0 score, the appearance was the first chapter in storied history between the Badgers and the Rose Bowl.

A third quarter touchdown for USC was the game’s only score in the second-lowest scoring Rose Bowl in the bowl’s history.

Wisconsin was led in the game by Alan Ameche, who carried the ball 28 times for 133 yards. USC quarterback Rudy Bukich was named the game’s MVP.
