Wisconsin struck like lightning when David Gilreath returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, immediately knocking the wind out of Ohio State’s sails as the Badgers scored 21 points before the Buckeyes added a second-quarter field goal.

Ohio State, however, wasn’t about to lay down, and the #1 team rebounded to bring the score to 21-18 in the fourth quarter. The Badgers drove down the field and capped a 10-play, 73 yard drive with freshman James White scoring to put the Badgers up 28-18.

A field goal made it a 31-18 lead, which the Badgers held to the finish as they knocked off the top team in the country.

Scott Tolzien was an efficient 13 of 16 for 152 yards with an interception in the game, but he did enough on third downs to keep the Badgers in the game. John Clay racked up 104 yards on 21 carries, scoring a pair of touchdowns. James White added 17 carries for 74 yards and a score.

J.J. Watt was a wrecking ball off the edge of the Wisconsin Badgers defense, and helped keep quarterback Terrelle Pryor and running back Dan Herron in check as the Badgers earned a huge win.
