Wisconsin vs. UCLA: December 29, 2000
Sun Bowl: Wisconsin 21, UCLA 20
The Badgers capped the 2000 season with a come-from-behind win against the UCLA Bruins, a team they had faced in the Rose Bowl just one year prior.
The Badgers started the scoring on a Brooks Bollinger to Lee Evans 54 yard touchdown, but UCLA took control from there, scoring 20 straight points to take the lead midway through the third quarter.
Michael Bennett had a big kickoff return to spark the Badgers, as Bollinger found Chris Chambers for a three-yard score in the third quarter. The Badgers shut UCLA down on fourth down on a nice play from Ben Herbert to stifle a fake field goal attempt, and Wisconsin drove for the game-tying touchdown, a six-yard run from Bennett.
Vitaly Pisetsky’s extra point was good, and the Badgers took down UCLA to win the Sun Bowl.
