#9 Wisconsin vs. Iowa: November 13, 1999

Wisconsin 41, Iowa 3

The 1999 regular season finale was an epic finish to one of the best seasons in school history.

The Badgers pummeled Iowa on the way to a 38-point victory that sealed an outright Big Ten Championship, the Badgers first outright Championship in 37 years.

The game was most notable for a 31-yard rush from Ron Dayne in the second quarter, a run that made him the NCAA’s all-time leading rusher. Dayne finished the game with 216 yards on 27 carries and a score in his final game at Camp Randall Stadium.

Brooks Bollinger had a big game, passing for 144 yards and three scores – two to Chris Chambers – and rushing for 113 more yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The big game essentially sealed the Heisman Trophy (and many other awards) for Dayne and led to a Rose Bowl berth for the Badgers for the second straight season.
