The Badges quickly got on the board on a Melvin Gordon end-around touchdown, and a Marcus Cromartie pick-six put the Badgers up 14-0 with just over two minutes gone in the game.

The Badgers just exploded from there. Wisconsin took a 42-10 lead into the half, scoring three touchdowns in the first and second quarters each. They added three more in the third quarter and capped the game with one more in the fourth to secure the 70-31 win.

Both Gordon and Montee Ball recorded over 200 rushing yards on the ground, with Gordon taking nine carries for 216 yards and a touchdown. Ball added 21 carries for 202 yards and three touchdowns, and James White ran it 15 times for 109 yards and four touchdowns.

White also had the Badgers only passing touchdown in the win, a three-yard score to Sam Arneson as Wisconsin barely let up from the run game. Quarterback Curt Phillips completed six of eight attempts for 71 yards, while White and Jared Abbrederis each competed a pass, Abbrederis finding Phillips for a 27-yard gain.

The win sent the five-loss Badgers to the Rose Bowl for the third straight season.
