Khalil Iverson took it to the rim with authority against Iowa
The Wisconsin basketball team picked up its second top-10 road win of the season Wednesday night against the Iowa Hawkeyes, thanks in large part to strong bench play. Khalil Iverson was among the many bright spots for the Badgers, as the young player showed off his athleticism by getting to the rim and flushing the ball multiple times.

The Badgers bench out-scored Iowa’s bench 23-4, and Iverson contributed nine of those points for Wisconsin on a 4-of-7 shooting night, converting his sole free throw attempt for an and-one opportunity.
He was explosive off the dribble and took advantage of the Iowa defense on back-cuts at times to get to the rim.
His most exciting play of the game came with less than 10 minutes to play with the game tied at 51-51. Iverson back-cut his defender, and received a pass along the baseline from Vitto Brown. He went airborne, and seeing Jarrod Uthoff‘s block attempt, double clutched the ball for an emphatic windmill slam.

It was a huge night for the freshman, who averages just 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He added three rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal to the nine-point night, which was just one point away from his career high.
The big game from Iverson helped the Badgers earn their ninth win in the past 10 games, and added another strong selling point in their NCAA Tournament resume.
