New season, new looks can be said for multiple aspects of the Wisconsin basketball team this year as in addition to a new Under Armour deal that will bring with it new jerseys, the Badgers will play on a redesigned court at the Kohl Center.

The Wisconsin basketball team alluded to some changes at the Kohl Center earlier this month, and showed off the transformation recently in a time-lapse video.
There aren’t too many major changes in the new design.
The color is the most immediately noticeable change, but it’s not the only update.

Both baselines will now read “Wisconsin” after the two read “Wisconsin” and “Badgers” previously.
Additionally, the name of the arena is now written twice on the court’s surface instead of in front of the scorer’s table.
The motion “W” has more shading around it and the fonts have changed, too.
All in all, it’s not a major update, and probably has a lot to do with the Badgers switching from Adidas to Under Armor and making sure everything syncs up nicely.
Color updates are probably to make the games easier to watch via broadcast, as well. It could also have something to do with the new Under Armour deal.
The Badgers will take this new court in the upcoming season for the first full year under head coach Greg Gard.
