Looking back, all of these plays were pretty special in their own right so it was hard to decided on the winner. However, it was a truly special moment in Lambeau Field when D’Cota Dixon sealed the victory for Wisconsin. Maybe it was the atmosphere of being in such a stadium, or the fact that the Badgers were heavy underdogs. Whatever the reason is this play is something that will stand the test of time for Wisconsin Athletics. If you’ve ever been to a Badger game and seen the highlight’s of history they play before the game, I’m sure you’ll see this one on it. The sheer magnitude of this interception set the tone for the rest of the season and showed that this team is for real and can’t be taken lightly. The others were very special defining moments, but the image of D’Cota Dixon celebrating (before getting pummeled) is something that Wisconsin fans will remember for years to come, which is why we named it the Play of the Year.
