Comeback Player of the Year

The Winner: Corey Clement

Comeback Player of the Year is given to a player who was plagued by injury for much of the season before, and there was little debate that came with this award. The unanimous winner of the award was the Badgers workhorse running back Corey Clement. Clement was the offensive leader all season, and came back strong after an injury plagued 2015 season.

Clement appeared in just four games last season, rushing four 200 yards and four scores. Clement really only had one strong game at Rutgers in which he ran for 113 and three scores. There were a variety of injuries that held Clement out last season, and he was determined to get back and have a dominating senior campaign. Clement did just that as he ran for 1,304 yards and 14 touchdown on 292 carries. Clement proved to be the #1 option for Wisconsin all season, and more importantly was healthy for the entire 2016 season. He was the catalyst for this team and allowed Wisconsin to get to a New Year Six Bowl. While we will surely miss Corey after the Cotton Bowl, its safe to say the star back went out with a bang and a dominating comeback 2016 season.
