Wisconsin Badgers: 22-5 (11-3)

The Badgers are coming off a stretch where their offense was no where to be found. Failing to score 60 points in their losses to Northwestern and Michigan, the Badgers turned it on in their game against Maryland, specifically in the second half en route to the 11 point victory.

The recent spark against the Terrapins was fueled by the presence of Bronson Koenig, who has been dealing with a lingering calf injury and has an uncertainty surrounding him regarding his overall status.

The Badgers have also been getting contributions from their bench while some of the starters struggle, specifically Brevin Pritzl- who had seven rebounds in Sunday’s win- and D’Mitrik Trice, who started the game but is increasing his role in the rotation every game.

Led by Ethan Happ, the Badgers have been in dire need of a second offensive weapon as Happ is continuously seeing double teams.

Wisconsin will get no break from their tough task against Maryland as they head on the road for two games this week. Looming on Sunday is a road visit to East Lansing to take on the struggling, yet dangerous Michigan State Spartans who are in search of an additional signature win as they fight to make the NCAA Tournament. Wisconsin has not won at Michigan State since 2002.

The Badgers will return home for their final two, which includes a Senior Night game against they arch rivals from the west.

Badgers remaining schedule:

  • at Ohio State
  • at Michigan State
  • vs. Iowa
  • vs. Minnesota
