NFL Schedule Release: Green Bay Against ex-Wisconsin Badgers
The NFL is very concerned you might be paying attention to the NBA Playoffs, MLB, your family, or literally anything but the NFL exclusively. Therefore, the NFL has released its 2017 schedule.
Below is a rundown of when the Green Bay Packers play ex-Badgers during the regular season. This could change depending on the NFL draft outcome and any residual personnel changes through the preseason. Former Wisconsin TE Lance Kendricks upgrades his QB situation a bit by signing with Green Bay in free agency.
Week 1- Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay: Russell Wilson and Tanner McEvoy along with OC Darrell Bevell hope this visit to Lambeau Field goes considerably better than their last.
Week 3-Cincinnati Bengals @ Green Bay: Alex Erickson will probably be open considering the amount of defensive attention the Packers will devote to A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert.
Week 5-Green Bay @ Dallas: The powerful Dallas running game is led by C Travis Frederick. Doubtful that Frederick can cover the GB TEs.
Week 9 & 17- Green Bay vs/@ Detroit: Former Wisconsin walk-on and former Green Bay Packer Jared Abbrederis is on the Lions WR depth chart. RT Ricky Wagner was a big money acquisition for the Detroit Lions during free agency.
Week 14- Green Bay @ Cleveland: Joe Thomas is still a mainstay at LT for the Browns and Cleveland paid and poached OG Kevin Zeitler from division and state rival Cincinnati this offseason. The Browns also have ex-Badger LB Joe Schobert and CB Darius Hillary.
Week 15- Green Bay @ Carolina: In 2014, Dezmen Southward parlayed a superlative Pro Day workout at Wisconsin into a high 3rd round draft pick for Atlanta (nine spots ahead of Chris Borland). He is currently on the Carolina Panthers helping out a struggling secondary.

Week 10- Houston Texans @ Los Angeles Rams: ex-Badger OT Rob Havenstein will square up with Watt and the Texans this time.
