Wisconsin Badger Only NFL Draft
#2 San Francisco: Arnie Herber, QB
SF needs a quarterback as well and the Green Bay native, turned Badger, turned Green Bay Packer would fit the bill. Herber quarterbacked the Pack in the successful 1930s. Midway through the decade, he and Don Hutson formed a potent combination.
"In 1935, the arrival of Don Hutson in Green Bay created the first great quarterback-receiver combination in NFL history."
Herber played 13 seasons total in the NFL and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1966.
