Saturday, October 7: at Nebraska Cornhuskers

Difficulty: 8

The Badgers were able to end the Cornhuskers undefeated string last season at home with a thrilling 23-17 victory in overtime that had heartbreak written all over it.

Thanks to a Dare Ogunbowale touchdown run in the extra session, Wisconsin then missed the extra point to give Nebraska a window of opportunity to steal the game. Fortunately, the Badgers defense took a stand when it was needed the most and a D’Cota Dixon pass break up in the end zone on fourth down sealed the victory and gave the Badgers the upper hand in the division.

Ever since the Huskers joined the Big Ten, the Badgers have handled them fairly easily- with their only loss coming in Lincoln by three points after they blew a 17-point lead. Every year the teams face off, the Cornhuskers always seem to have this chip on their shoulder- and this year will be no different.

The Tommy Armstrong era is over at Nebraska, but everyone they bring in seems to have that same goal of knocking off Wisconsin, the team that continues to stand in the way of a Big Ten West title.

It will be loud, and it will be fun. Be ready October 7th.
