Badger men’s hockey announced its 2017-2018 schedule and here are the most intriguing games.

As we noted previously, Wisconsin men’s hockey experienced an immediate renaissance under the direction of new head coach Tony Granato last season.  He led the Badgers to a 12-win improvement and second place in the Big Ten standings.  Wisconsin finished 20-15-1 and lost in double OT in the Big Ten Tournament title game to Penn State.

So there is every reason to be excited about what the 2017-2018 season has in store.  The Badgers announced its 2017-2018 schedule today.   One new wrinkle is a change to the Big Ten Tournament as explained in a UW Athletic Department news release.

"[t]he 2018 competition will be played over three weekends and all games will be played on campus sites.  The first weekend of the tournament will take place on March 2-4, with the top-seed earning a bye. The top-seed in each matchup will host a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the semi-final round on March 10. The title game will take place on March 17. Both the semi-final and championship game will be single elimination and held at the higher-seed’s site."

So what matchups are we most excited to see this year?  Scroll through to see one guy on the internet’s opinion.  I ranked the top five from 5-1 in terms of increasing interest.
