New Rule:

"Adjust the officiating guidance in relation to the cylinder rule. If a defensive player straddles an offensive player’s leg in a way that prohibits him from making a normal basketball move — which now includes pivoting — contact that creates a common foul will be called on the defensive player."

I’ve read this rule description multiple times and it seems to inject a lot of subjectivity which I do not like at all.  What is a “normal basketball move” for the purposes of this rule?  Any rule that seems to borrow context from the NFL rules regarding a catch is a no go for me.  This is another one where UW Coaches will need to conduct summer school on (im)permissible defensive posture.  This one may help and hurt Happ next season drawing fouls and giving them away.  Wisconsin will have to learn quickly how the game is being officiated that night and adjust.
